Terms of Use
Effective Date: October 2, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using the Reed-bear website and services, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please discontinue use of our website and services immediately.
These terms apply to all visitors, users, and customers who access or interact with our website, book our services, or participate in our programs.
2. Service Description
Reed-bear provides market tour services, artisan workshops, gift curation, subscription boxes, corporate event coordination, and vendor connection consultations focused on Toronto's local maker and grower community.
Service descriptions on our website represent our good-faith efforts to accurately convey what each offering includes. However, specific details may vary based on seasonal availability, artisan schedules, and venue constraints. We reserve the right to make reasonable substitutions when necessary to maintain service quality.
3. Booking and Payment
Service bookings are confirmed once we communicate acceptance of your request via email. Submitting a booking request through our website does not guarantee service availability or create a binding contract until we confirm the booking.
Payment terms are communicated during the booking confirmation process. Most services require payment in advance. Accepted payment methods include credit cards, debit cards, and electronic transfers.
Prices listed on our website are in Canadian dollars and reflect current rates. We reserve the right to modify pricing with reasonable notice, though confirmed bookings honor the price agreed upon at booking time.
4. Cancellation and Refund Policy
Customers may cancel bookings up to 72 hours before the scheduled service time for a full refund. Cancellations made between 48 and 72 hours before service receive a 50% refund. Cancellations with less than 48 hours notice are non-refundable.
We reserve the right to cancel services due to circumstances beyond our control, including severe weather, artisan illness, or venue unavailability. In such cases, customers receive either a full refund or the option to reschedule at no additional cost.
Subscription boxes operate on a month-to-month basis with no long-term commitment. Subscribers may cancel at any time, with cancellation taking effect at the end of the current billing period.
5. User Conduct
When participating in our services, you agree to conduct yourself respectfully toward vendors, artisans, other participants, and our staff. Disruptive behavior may result in removal from a service without refund.
Photography during tours and workshops is permitted for personal use only. Commercial use of images taken at our events or featuring participating vendors requires explicit written permission.
You agree not to use our website for any unlawful purpose or in any way that could damage, disable, or impair our services or interfere with other users' ability to access our website.
6. Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including text, images, graphics, logos, and design elements, is owned by Reed-bear or used with permission from content owners. This material is protected by Canadian and international copyright laws.
You may view and print pages from our website for personal, non-commercial use. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from our content without written permission.
7. Third-Party Vendors and Artisans
Our services connect you with independent vendors and artisans. While we carefully select the makers we work with, we do not control their individual business practices or the quality of products sold directly by them outside of our curated services.
Purchases made directly from vendors at markets or in their studios are transactions between you and that vendor. Reed-bear is not responsible for such transactions or any issues arising from them.
8. Limitation of Liability
Reed-bear, its employees, and associated vendors provide services and information in good faith. However, we make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the completeness, accuracy, or reliability of information provided through our website or services.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Reed-bear shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our services or website, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total liability for any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
9. Health and Safety
Participants in workshops involving physical activity, kitchen work, or tool use do so at their own risk. We provide safety instructions and appropriate equipment, but cannot eliminate all risks inherent in craft activities.
If you have allergies, dietary restrictions, or health conditions that might be relevant to a service you're booking, please inform us in advance so we can make appropriate accommodations or advise you of potential concerns.
10. Modifications to Terms
We may revise these Terms of Use periodically. Changes become effective when posted on this page. Continued use of our website or services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
For significant changes that materially affect user rights or obligations, we will provide notice through email to registered users or prominent website notification.
11. Governing Law
These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes arising from these terms or our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario.
